July Splendor 2022 - Day 2
On Saturday, the second day of our three day auction, we present paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky, Jervis McEntee, John Ehninger, Frederick Judd Waugh, Antonio Manescau, Hermann Herzog, Alfred Thompson Bricher, Bill Traylor, and Jack Gray, plus Old Master works by Lucas Cranach, the Elder, Gerard Seghers, Adriaen Van Ostade, and others. Also offered on this day will be a large group of early American furniture, led by an important paint decorated Pennsylvania Dutch bench, a mid-18th Century transitional country Queen Anne high chest, and red painted country Queen Anne tea table. Featured folk art will include a pair of sheared hooked rugs with spaniel portraits, a copper ?Massasoit? warrior weathervane, a graduated set of Shaker pantry boxes, plus theorems, Nantucket baskets, early signs, sailor?s valentines, and walking sticks. This day will also include selections of Continental and English George III period silver, tea caddies, fine early clocks and barometers, icons and oriental carpets.
