Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Dragon Porcelain Lidded Jar. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, jar shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim, short neck with official hat dome lid finial bud, and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.On the Shoulder bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
