Knoll Eero Saarinen "Tulip" Dining Table, round top on pedestal base, height 42 inches, diameter 28.5 inches. Provenance: In response to current scholarship and study, the Yale University Art Gallery has an ongoing process of refining its collections. Objects that no longer advance the educational mission of the Art Gallery have been deaccessioned and authorized for sale. Funds obtained from deaccessions are only used to purchase additional objects for the collection. Purchased as office furniture for the Art Gallery in 1975 from James Furniture, Palisades Park, N.J.; transferred in 1987 to Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, Conn.
