Grey stoneware with red areas around the bottom of the unglazed base, of bulbous to tapered form and applied below the rim with six handles, painted around the sides in famille rose enamels with three phoenix alternating with three tall peony stems, three handles each surrounded by a peony blossom, all on a yellow ground heightened with green cloud scrolls, the rim surrounded by a border of stiff leaftips.
