Description

(2) Antique Chinese embroidered silk panels, Qing Dynasty (19th c.), Blue, white and gold thread, each made up of two panels sewn together vertically, one depicting figures at various tasks, the other a garden landscape with pavilions and bridge, each in carved wood frame, larger: 21.75"h x 7.25"w (sight), 24.75"h x 9.75"w (frame), smaller: 21.5"h x 8.5"w (sight), 23.5"h x 11"w (frame)

Condition

Good, "Gardens" with stains around border, "Figures" with small loss at right edge, about 4" down from top, and a pinhole an inch above that (and a matching pinhole on left edge), not examined out of frames **Condition reports are rendered as specialist opinion by the staff of the Auction House and not as statements of fact.
