Description
A choice example In two parts, upper section with an applied molded cornice to a dovetailed case containing four long graduated drawers, lower section with two long drawers, the bottom drawer is three simulated short drawers the center with a fan carving, the case stands proudly on high cabriole legs terminating in pronounced carved claw and ball feet, retains its original rare pine tree brass hardware and exists in a wonderful early and likely original finish, 71.75”H x (upper case 35.25”W x 17.5”D). Lit: for a similar example see Sacks Vol. 1, page 66, No. 208.
Condition
A small patch to the side corner of the upper case, very small loss to corners of some drawers, proper left top molding at back with wear loss, shrinkage cracks, other minor blemishes.
