**First Time At Auction**
Western Europe or United States, Pennsylvania Dutch / German or Frisian, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. A beautiful Frisian style storage box that rests on 4 conical feet with iron fittings and handle, chip carved with geometric snowflake medallion shapes and incised linear banding. The half-lid opens on a pair of hinges from the upper planar face and contains an articulating latch and ring for securing a lock. Great patina throughout! Size: 12.75" L x 8.5" W x 7.5" H (32.4 cm x 21.6 cm x 19 cm)

Age and use expected surface wear, and old inactive insect cavities on base and losses to feet, and stable pressure fissures. Russet patina on iron fittings, and nice wood patina throughout.
