PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Leroy Gaylor, Sr. (1933-2021) of Cartersville, Georgia. Private Collector, US Marine Corp Veteran, Engineers of major electrical company that helped build power grids in Asia.

Measurements: Height: 46 cm Diam: 35 cm

Pair Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Famille Rose Hexagonal drum shaped Porcelain Garden stools. Have a large body, tall and thick, heaviness, hexagonal sides, heavy on the mid belly, all supported in hexagonal footed base rim. The exterior hand painted ornamentations are rendered in egg yolk yellow under glazed base color which contrast against enamel design famille rose translates to the pink family on a colored ground decoration, depicted of many figures in various vim, surrounded with flowers full blooms, foliage, scrolling tendril and enclosed with auspicious pattern. Colorful garden stools have a strong artistic appeal. The shape is dignified and elegant, straight and upward, and magnificent.
