Roy (R.A.) McLendon, Sr. (American, born 1932). An original seascape oil painting on canvas. A Florida Highwayman coastal sea landscape. A rain storm during hurricane season, with palm trees, architectural shack, and washer woman figure. The artist was influenced by Albert Beanie Backus and the Indian River School. Artist signature to lower right. Hand inscribed title "Hurricane Season" on the wood stretcher bar verso. From a private Palm Beach Collection. Presented in a rustic wood frame.
Work Size: 20 x 24 in.
Dimensions: 25 X 29 X 2 in.
Condition: Good overall condition having normal surface wear. Frame having storage surface wear to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market.
