Item Details

Description

Purvis Young (American, 1943-2010). An original gallery sized oil painting on found plywood board. Urban outsider art, depicting an angel or saintly figure with halo nimbus, painted in gray and black, with, yellow and green ground. The use of repurposed wood material as canvas gives the surface a weathered aged look as intended by the artist. Signed YOUNG to lower left.

Dimensions: 88 X 24 X .5 in.

Condition: Good outsider condition with nice patina and craquelure throughout work, with other natural age color toning and wear. Being sold unframed. Estate fresh to the market.
