A FAMILLE VERTE 'QILIN' BALUSTER VASE, LATE QING TO REPUBLIC
China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Of baluster shape, the exterior painted in bright polychrome enamels and with iron-red, depicting a qilin at a palace terrace with a banana tree, a geometrical border with floral sprays to the neck. The base unglazed.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1990 and has remained in the family ever since.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, light surface scratches, and few manufacturing flaws.

Dimensions: Height 23.8 cm
