Antique c1880s quilt top measuring 77 x 85 inches. Comprised of a variety of blocks including Nine Patch, Square-in-a Square, Shoofly and more. Arranged in vertical bars 8-10 inches wide. The blocks are set on point with a pheasant chintz fabric in the setting triangles. They are set with alternating brown print vertical bars measuring 5.5 to 6.5 inches wide. It is hand pieced. In very good condition with one small hole along an edge. Purchased from a Clifton, New Jersey estate of 1998. It is just a quilt top with no batting, backing or quilting.
