Description
This is a great looking vintage porcelain sign for California route 66. Sign is enamel black and white on front, unfinished on back. Three overall holes for hanging. Measures approx 11.5" x 11".
An example of this sign is hard to find. Variations of 6's over time, plus reproductions on the market made verification a little harder. Hole placement is the best indicator as many newer reproduction signs have five holes for hanging and these signs have three, two along the top and one on the bottom tip, all outside the black outline. There are other authentic variations of this sign from early AAA to more current CADOH.
