Description
Cleater Meaders Jr (b1921-d2003) of GA (married to still living potter Billie Meaders), created this excellent joint rare face ring jug in 1995. Definitely wood-fired. Cleater was son of Cleater Meaders Sr. and father of folk potter Clete Meaders III. He created pots for about 2 decades of his lifetime. After the first several years, his wife joined him to make many of their pots jointly. Signed on bottom, dated 1995. Stands 9.75" tall.
