Item Details

Description

Jack Sexton founded JS Pottery originally in 1980 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Later his friend Grace Carr joined him in the venture. The shop has moved around the Carolinas and currently is located in Stanley, NC. In researching this face pot, we learned that unfortunately Jack had passed away last year. And Grace Carr has continued to create folk pots and sell them. This devil face is from 2013, possibly from the Stanley, NC shop. It is alkaline glaze. Signed & dated on the base. Stands 8.5" tall.
