Description
Chester (b1950) is now retired from making pots, but is the son of the late Harold & Grace Nell & father of Matthew & Nathaniel. The pottery that does remains open w/ mostly Matthew keeping it open with Chester's wife, began operation in 1850. The family until the past decade made thousands of pots for garden shops and general public sale. And occasionally folk pots. This is an interesting Edgefield style pot with a slip decorated scene. Signed & dated 1996 on base. Stands 15.5" tall.
