Description
Cleater Meaders Jr (b1921-d2003) of GA (married to still living potter Billie Meaders), turned this pot specially for the 100th anniversary 1892-1992 of the Meaders Pottery family. Son of Cleater Meaders Sr. This is rare at the least for him re several aspects. He created pots for about 2 decades of his lifetime. After the first several years, his wife joined him to make many of their pots jointly. All active Meaders potters in 1992 turned pots for this special firing. These pots were fired in Lanier's kiln. Signed, marked for the Meaders, centennnial, dated 1992 on base. Name of the face jug on the reverse side. Stands 11.5" tall.
