French faience pottery jardiniere with deep blue decor riche decoration, having impressive dragon-form handles, decorated with a scene of figures on one side and a rose on the other, on four feet, marked on the bottom
h. 8 w. 21-3/4 d. 8-1/4 in.

Provenance: From the estate of the late Joan E. Black, Bronxville, NY; Mrs. Black was a friend of Sandra V. Bondhus, author of "Quimper Pottery: French Folk Art Faience," and often purchased items from auctions that Ms. Bondhus cataloged.
