Description
Cherry case on ogee feet and fluted quarter column decoration. Signed "Newport". Arched bonnet top appears to be untouched with original nails. No sign of any fretwork or finials. Painted face with phases of the moon dial and masted ships. Condition: Some wear to paint. 86 1/2 x 19 x 9 1/2 inches.
Condition
Some wear to paint. Pendulum present but needs repair. Case condition with expected age and wear.(1) Back foot was split and reglued at some point. The works will need restoration. When weight is attached and wound, the weight will descend quickly.
