Description
American Three Piece Renaissance Revival Parlor Suite, c. 1870, consisting of a settee and a pair of side chairs, with arched backs with incised carving flanked by relief nuts and leaves, the settee with a curved back with incised arms to wooden casters, Settee- H.- 40 1/2 in., W.- 70 3/4 in., D.- 32 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. The upholstery has some minor brown spotting throughout, especially on one chair. Two water stains, approximately 6 inches each, in the center of the seat upholstery on the settee. Otherwise, the upholstery is in good condition. Some minor scuffs and scratches to the wood throughout the set. Chip in the wood on the back right shoulder of the settee. Two inch section of blonding to the wood on the top of one chair back. Clean overall look. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD “AS IS.” NO STATEMENT REGARDING CONDITION OF ANY ITEM, WHETHER IT IS MADE ORALLY AT THE AUCTION OR ANY OTHER TIME, OR IN WRITING IN THE CATALOGUE OR ELSEWHERE, SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE A WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY.
