Circa 1930s, New York, NY, marked to face ''Electric / Traveling / Crane / Trade Mark,'' ''U.S. Pat. No. 1888050 / Other Patents Pending / KL35,'' and ''Mfd. By / International / Mutoscope / Reel Co. Inc. / New York,'' the floor-standing coin-op crane digger arcade game with three glazed panels enclosing the crane mechanism flanked by dual skyscrapers, the controls with a built-in gumball vendor, over a locking cabinet door enclosing a single shelf, with keys, 67'' H x 24.25'' W x 25'' D, est: $2000/3000
Note: Accompanied by a copy of repair invoice from Free Play, Arcadia CA. Provenance: Purchased circa 1982 from Trilco, Arcadia CA; Estate, Pasadena, CA
Condition
Overall good condition. Lacking candy storage box. Scattered minor areas of wear and a few spots of rust to external metal elements. Scattered areas of minor separation at joints to case and scattered spots of mildew and rust to interior commensurate with age. Case has been refinished. With restorations and rewiring completed in 1982 by Gary Taplin of Free Play Quality Restorations & Sales, Arcadia, CA.
