Item Details

Description

attributed to Maryland, 1760-1780, each with shell carved figured walnut crest rail with deeply scrolled ears, pierced splat, shell carved knees with ball and claw feet, 41 in.

Condition

refinished, later seat blocking, some scattered cracks, minor repairs and repinning at seat rail joints, crack and repair at one crest rail above splat, slip seats possibly replaced
