A PAIR OF CHINESE EXPORT GILT AND ENAMEL DECORATED PORCELAIN FAMILLE ROSE MEDALLION VASES, REPUBLIC OF CHINA (1912-1949), the flared rims painted with scrolling tendrils and lotus blooms, over a tapered neck with repeating scenes of court life, flanked by integral parcel gilt fu dog handles, shoulders with relief jaguars, over a body with four reserves, two with figural court scenes opposed by floral, bird, and insect decorated reserves, on a circular base. Some rubbing and paint loss, one vase with mild chips at rim, but overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age.
