Description
Carved three-legged toad Jadestone water pot placed upon the wooden stand. Raised bumps cover the outer skin, giving a realistic texture and representation of amphibious scales. A small concentric opening has been incised on the spinal ridge. The toads gaze is in the forward direction, with all three feet firmly planted in corresponding grooves located on the top of the hardwood base. Toads are known to be representative of good fortune, good luck and prosperity. Jadestone has a translucent quality, with milk-white coloration, natural discoloration around the face, and very smooth polish.

He was gifted these items from his parents who had lived abroad in the late 1800s.
