Item Details
Description
Chinese Ming Xuande Bronze Ceremonial censer. The body has wider flanged opening supported by an ovoid body that stands on a circular base. Two elephant mask shaped handles protrude from either side of the censer creates looped handles. There is minimal marring of the surface. Light is easily reflected from the well-polished surface. Internal section is covered in dark earthy patina.
Mark on base, protruding four script -KaiShu- characters reign mark enclosed within rectangular border; XuanDe Reign Period.
Dimensions: 3-7/8" H x 10-1/4" Diam.

Condition
Over all in EXCELLENT condition, with normal anomalies in nature, molted patina on bronze, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding; Normal, considering ages and wears.
