Joseph Dubasty (French, fl. 1810-1837),

Pair of Portrait Miniatures of the Baron and Baroness Lapeyre, oil on paper mounted to wood backing, signed J. Dubasty, oval format, the Baroness wearing lace and gold embroidered black dress, the Baron in black coat and white cravat, in matching rectangular rosewood frames with gilt-metal surrounds and scroll and anthemion corner mountings, sight lg. 3 3/4, frame 8 5/8 x 6 7/8 in.
Condition


Condition: good. not examined out of frames, light shrinkage cracking to frame on Baroness, and small nailhole to l.l. just above gilt metal mount. Baron's frame with larger shrinkage cracking, especially to center below image, and with a small nail hole to l.r. just above gilt metal mount.
