Description

Rare pair of Federal giltwood looking glasses, ca. 1815, having a frieze with carved drapery swag flanked by florettes over an eglomaise scenic tablet, centered by half columns with foliate capitals, 61'' l, 30 1/4'' w.

Condition

61 1/2" h. The general condition is excellent - as found and untouched. There is minor loss of gilding on one and approximately 6 small 1"-1.5" areas of loss on the column of the other. Gilding should be cleaned but has fine patination. One plate appears
