Gorson, Aaron Harry (Lithuanian/American 1872 - 1933), Steelmaking Nocturne on The Monongahela, circa 1920, oil on canvas, 27 x 22 inches, signed A. H. Gorson lower left, Provenance: Arthur Braun, Pittsburgh Industrialist/Banker, Mark Evers Antiques and Fine Art, Pittsburgh, Pa.; The Estate of Joan Frank Apt, Pittsburgh, Pa.; The painting was illustrated on cover of Fortune Magazine's issue on the Pittsburgh Renaissance. The painting was selected by R. K. Mellon for the magazine's cover.
Condition
